UPDATE: Logan County grass fire rekindled, hundreds of acres charred

UPDATED: Fire crews have the fire contained and under control.

Crews will remain on scene to keep a close eye on out for any hot spots.

LOGAN COUNTY, Okla. – Crescent fire crews responded to a grass fire just before 1 p.m. Saturday near County Rd. 68 and Western.

When crews arrived on scene, they discovered the fire had rekindled from a fire that sparked Thursday evening, burning more than 600 acres.

According to officials the fire has burned more than 100 acres just today.

Crews are still on scene working to keep the fire from spreading.

Crescent’s fire chief Jason Smith confirms that no homes surrounding the area have been harmed.
