One dead, two rushed to the hospital after tragic accident

OKLAHOMA CITY – There was a deadly accident in a construction zone late Friday evening.

It happened just after 11:30 p.m. Friday.

Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a driver was going the wrong way on I-40 and slammed into a Fed Ex truck on I-40 at Czech Hall Rd.

84-year-old Aubrey Baty was pronounced dead after being rushed to the hospital with serious head, arm, and leg injuries.

Another driver and a passenger were rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.

During this accident police were forced to shut down one westbound lane on I-40.

Authorities say all lanes are back open.

No word on the condition of the two who were rushed to the hospital.
