UPDATE – 3:41 – The person that was injured in the acid accident at the police evidence storage building is reported to be in good condition after inhaling the fumes from the acid.

OKLAHOMA CITY – The Oklahoma City Hazmat crew is on the scene of a possible acid accident at the police evidence storage building near Shartel and Main.

According to initial reports, someone dropped a metal object in a 55 gallon drum of nitric acid which caused a chemical reaction.

Authorities say that one person was injured after inhaling the fumes from the acid.

He is being treated by EMSA with oxygen at the scene.

No other injuries have been reported.

Officials are letting employees back into the building.
