You have probably noticed the jump at the pump over the last few weeks.
The average price across the state per gallon is now about $3.40, a cent higher than last week.
The national average price at the pump is $3.53 per gallon, which is 12 cents more than one month ago, but less than a penny above one week ago and 14 cents less than on this same date last year.
The average pump price has increased on 43 of the past 46 days.
Lundberg says an increase in the price of ethanol is driving up the price of gas.
Ethanol is blended into gasoline, and it’s up .54 cents a gallon.
