OKLAHOMA CITY -- Thursday afternoon the students at Crooked Oak schools were visited by Brian Jackson.
Jackson is a multiple world record holder and a Americas Got Talent contestant.
He imparted his motivational story to students about his failures and his will to never give up.
After a short presentation, Jackson challenged the children to rope in a world record of their own.
The record: the most people to pass through a hula hoop without letting go of each others' hands.
The current world record is 502 people.
This time, over 600 children are attempting the record.
Jackson and administrators have hope the kids can accomplish it, not just for the record, but to show them that if you put your mind to it, the biggest feats can be accomplished.
Crooked Oak superintendent Bradley Richards says with state testing coming up, motivation like this is rare but can change the outcome of a child's future.
