NICARAGUA – One of the FBI’s ten most wanted fugitives has turned himself in — a day after making the FBI list.
A source familiar with the investigation says Juan Elias Garcia surrendered to authorities at a U.S. Embassy in Nicaragua Thursday.
He was added to the FBI’s ten most wanted list for the 2010 shooting deaths of 19-year-old Vanessa Argueta and her 2-year-old son in New York.
The shooting is believed to have been gang related.
Garcia is now in the progress of being extradited to the United States.
