OKLAHOMA CITY – Sunday evening Sen. Sean Burrage and Sen. Tom Ivester will be pitching their tents and getting ready to camp out around 9:00 p.m. at the State Capitol.
The two will be camping on the grassy area on the S.E. corner of the Oklahoma State Capitol, located at 2300 N. Lincoln Ave.
25,000 educators will be heading to the Capitol Monday to rally for education funding.
Sen. Burrage and Sen. Ivester will be camping on the lawn tonight so they will be ready to welcome and talk to the 25,000 teachers, parents and administrators expected to come.
With the expectation of long lines to get into the Capitol and some legislators going so far as to limit the number of educators they will see, Sen. Burrage and Sen. Ivester wanted to ensure that every teacher, parent and administrator that comes to the Capitol on Monday will be greeted by and get to talk to one of their legislators.
