LOS ANGELES (KTLA) – A California man, who was diagnosed with terminal cancer, says he has accepted the fact that he won’t be around to watch his daughter get married when she is older.

However, he wanted to give her a memory she would be able to have for years to come.

According to KTLA, Jim Metz, 62, was able to walk his 11-year-old daughter down the aisle.

A photographer, Lindsey Natzic Villatoro, and her friends had photographed Jim, Grace and 11-year-old Josie for one of their final family portraits together.

Villatoro had an idea to have a mini-wedding for Josie, so she could always remember the day her father walked her down the aisle.

Gary Galbraith, the pastor, said, “Your dad may not get to see you get married, but he is here to walk you down the aisle today.”

At the end of the ceremony, the pastor pronounced them “daddy and daughter.”

The family is now in Hawaii, enjoying what is presumed to be their last family vacation.
