Could Danny Manning be on the way out as Tulsa Head Coach after just 2 seasons?
Manning is visiting Wake Forest this evening and is rumored to be making a decision within the next 24 hours whether or not to become the new coach of the Demon Deacons.
Manning compiled a successful run at TU going a combined 48-29 over his two seasons at the helm of the Golden Hurricane.
The former number 1 NBA draft pick in 1998 led TU to a 13-3 conference record this year, which finished tied for 1st in the league. Manning also won the Conference USA tournament.
He guided the Hurricane to their 1st NCAA Tournament appearance in 11 years and lost in the second round to UCLA.
After Manning’s 15 year NBA career, the 47 year old began coaching as an assistant under Bill Self at Kansas from 2006-2012.
