HOLLYWOOD, Calif. – Hollywood is mourning the loss of a legend.
NBC confirmed actor Mickey Rooney died at his home on Sunday, surrounded by family.
He was 93-years-old.
Rooney had one of the longest careers in Hollywood.
He became famous in the 1930s in the Andy Hardy series and in musicals with Judy Garland.
Rooney won an Academy Award at the age of 19 for his role in Boys Town.
He was nominated four more times.
He won an Oscar in 1939 and was nominated again 40 years later.
