GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. – When it comes to April Fool’s, a lot of college students may change their Facebook status or make a strange phone call to their parents.
However, students at Aquinas College took things one step further.
A macroeconomics professor has a well-known phone policy in his classroom.
Students know if their phone rings during class, they will be required to put the call on speakerphone.
On April 1, students used that policy to their advantage.
When one student’s phone rings, she immediately puts it on speakerphone for the class to listen in.
The person on the other end claims to be from a pregnancy center and congratulates her on being pregnant.
They add that they know the father is no longer in the picture and they can help her with whatever she needs at no charge.
When the call ends, the teacher immediately apologizes for making her share such a private moment.
That’s when they break the news that it has all been a prank.
