TULSA, Okla. –  An Oklahoma zoo welcomed a new addition to their animal family.

The Tulsa Zoo announced the birth of a jaguar cub, marking the third jaguar to be born at the zoo.

According to the Tulsa Zoo, the birth was in conjunction with the Jaguar Species Survival Plan, which manages species in Association of Zoos and Aquariums-accredited zoos across the nation.

The cub is reported to be doing well, but its sibling did not survive the birthing process.

Zoo staff continues to watch the cub closely to ensure proper development and nursing.
