Police ram, shoot elderly man after barreling the wrong way down interstate

NEW MEXICO - Dramatic video of a driver barreling the wrong way down an interstate has just been released.

The incident that happened earlier this year stunned everyone.

Nearly one hundred people called state police telling them about a wrong-way driver.

Once police spotted the vehicle they attempted to get the driver to pull over.

However, the driver, 72-year-old Albert Urban, did not listen.

Police eventually placed spike strips on the road to slow Urban down.

One officer shot the driver police rammed his car forcing it to stop.

The elderly driver was taken to the hospital and treated for gunshot wounds.

He survived.

The district attorney later dropped all charges against the man because doctors determined he was suffering from Alzheimer's or some form of dementia.
