UPDATE: Authorities are reporting no trace of alcohol was found in 13 children transported to hospitals after a waitress at a pizzeria served alcohol to their table by mistake.

According to WGN, police will not be investigating the incident any further because it was an accident and the waitress admitted to the mistake.

LITTLE VILLAGE, Ill. (WGN-TV) – Authorities say 13 children were taken to hospitals after a waitress at a pizza place may have accidentally served them alcohol.

The children, who are all 10-years-old or younger, were all part of a group celebrating a birthday at the “Home Run Inn.”

WGN says parents called police after several servers took the children’s drinks away without explanation.

The parents smelled the drinks and believed they were alcoholic.

The kids are all in good to fair conditions.
