WINTER PARK, Fla. (CNN) – Authorities say 11 were injured in an accident when a vehicle was pushed into a Florida day care center by a Dodge Durango or a pickup truck, which then fled the scene.

Officials with the Florida Highway Patrol said they were looking for a silver or gray Dodge Durango or pickup, which struck another vehicle from behind, sending it into the day care center, fatally injuring one little girl and leaving 11 others injured.

Of those injured, most of them were children.

Orange County Mayor Teresa Jacobs asked for people to report any vehicle that fits the description of the vehicle that fled the scene.

Highway Patrol spokeswoman Sgt. Kim Monte said the agency was seeking to detain Robert Corchado, whom authorities believe was trying to flee the Orlando area.

He is believed be in his mid- to late 20s.
