OKLAHOMA CITY – Residents throughout the metro have been reporting the smell of smoke.

However, fire crews say they do not know where it is coming from.

Throughout the night, NewsChannel 4 received several reports from people thinking a grassfire was nearby.

The reports came from Moore, Midwest City and northwest Oklahoma City.

The Oklahoma City Fire Department spent the night investigating.

So far, there is no clear answer as to what’s causing the smell or the haze.

Fire departments across the metro say there are no fires burning in the Oklahoma City area right now.
