NEW YORK – After several websites became victims of Heartbleed, the sites are working to patch holes in their security systems.
As they work to patch things on their end, experts say you should change your passwords immediately.
Heartbleed allowed information leaks from a key safety feature that is supposed to keep your online communication private.
If a company still hasn’t updated its site, you can’t connect safely just yet.
If you have an account with these websites, you should change your password now:
- Yahoo Mail
These sites were not affected by the breach, so you don’t have to change your passwords.
- Bank of America
- Capital One Bank
- Charles Schwab
- Chase Bank
- Fidelity HSBC Bank
- PNC Bank
- TD Ameritrade
- U.S. Bank
- Wells Fargo
Don’t change these passwords… yet.
