Mother arrested after allegedly driving drunk with her children asleep in the vehicle

SOUTH OKLAHOMA CITY – An Oklahoma mother is facing several charges after allegedly driving intoxicated with her children inside the vehicle.

According to police, they found 32-year-old Tonya Graves asleep at the wheel at the intersection of I-240 west-bound and S. Santa Fe.

When police pulled up beside her vehicle, Graves woke up and started to veer in and out of lanes until pulling over to a nearby parking lot.

The police report says Graves reeked of alcohol, had bloodshot eyes, and slurred speech her speech.

Her two small children were asleep in the back seat of her vehicle.

One child slept across seats, the other child on the floorboard.

The breathalyzer test revealed Graves was nearly twice the legal limit.

Graves is now facing several charges.
