OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City residents will gather together for Walk MS: Oklahoma City 2014 on Saturday, May 3 at Wild Horse Park in Mustang to make a powerful statement and keep moving toward a cure for multiple sclerosis.

Walk MS Oklahoma City is a signature fundraising event for the National MS Society that raises funds to support MS research and provide services to individuals impacted by multiple sclerosis.

The Society strives to raise $160,000 this year from Oklahoma City area partners and participants to drive research for a cure and support vital programs and services that serve more than 11,200 Oklahomans affected by multiple sclerosis, including more than 3,700 diagnosed with the disease.

Walk MS Oklahoma City offers family, friends, neighbors and co-workers the opportunity to mobilize in support of Oklahoma families impacted by MS.

Participants can choose to walk or run a scenic route through Wild Horse Park in Mustang. Participants can enjoy music and activities, eat complimentary food, tour a fire truck, vote for their favorite team shirt, visit the MS Expo and even play Frisbee golf.

Pets are welcome, too!

Visit walkMSok.org to register to walk, volunteer or make a donation. Online registration is currently open.

On event day, Oklahoma City’s SkyDance Bridge will light up in the National MS Society’s signature color: orange.
