It can be difficult for dads when their daughters start dating.
They can be overprotective and worry about what is going through the minds of their daughters’ dates.
One father, Jesse Parent, put all of those thoughts into words during a recent session at Button Poetry.
His speech is addressed to “the boys who will one day date my daughter.”
It starts with warnings and threats before turning into something that will make your heart break.
Parent says that of course, he does not condone violence.
He adds that he is protective but trusts his daughter to make her own decisions.
