STUDY: Creative hobbies could help your work performance

It turns out the saying all work and no play… is true.

New research shows finding a creative use for your time outside of work does have a positive impact on your life and especially on your work performance.

The key word is CREATIVE.

The study found employees who spent their free time working on innovative activities – which can be anything from writing short stories to playing video games were better problem solvers at work.

Experts believe this creative outlet helps employees relax from the demands of their jobs, challenges them to learn a new skill and increases their sense of control — which translates into better workers.
