UPDATE 4:08 p.m.

Authorities have arrested Abid Sandhu, 37, of Norman on a charge of Murder in the First Degree.

Police say Sandhu was transported to the Cleveland County Justice Center.

The murder victim, Sidra Sandhu, is the suspects wife.

According to investigators, the motive for the incident appears to be domestic related.

NORMAN, OKLA. -Around 3:30 this morning the Norman Police Department received a call from a man claiming he had killed someone.

Initial information, including the address, was given before the man hung up on the Communication Officer, said officials.

Officers followed the man’s tip to the 3600 block of SE 24th Avenue where they found a woman’s body.

The victim appeared to have been stabbed to death.

Police are waiting to release that victim’s name until next of kin is notified.

The man is in custody as police continue their investigation.
