Rocking and Rolling: Several earthquakes reported across state on Monday

STILLWATER, Okla. – Residents across the state may have felt a few rumbles this morning as several earthquakes were reported throughout the early morning hours.

The Oklahoma Geological Survey is reporting on several small earthquakes that were recorded Monday morning.

A 2.5 magnitude quake was reported at 9:45 a.m. near Stillwater.

Citizens in that area may have felt the Earth move more than once this morning.

A 2.5 magnitude rumble was felt around 1:05 a.m. near Stillwater, which was followed by a 2.8 quake in the same area around 5:33 a.m.

Also, a 2.1 magnitude earthquake was reported around 1:39 a.m. near the town of Coyle.

Around 7 a.m., geologists say a 2.9 quake was recorded near Medford.

A 2.7 magnitude quake was reported near the Choctaw area around 9:40 a.m.
