OKLAHOMA CITY – According to statistics, one in eight women is diagnosed with breast cancer at some point in her life.
That’s why the State Capitol is hosting breast cancer awareness day today.
Twenty vendors from around the state are set up in the Capitol rotunda providing information on detection and prevention, as well as treatment options.
An estimated 3,500 women in Oklahoma will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year.
Supporters are hoping today’s event will help more of them become survivors.
The sixth annual event runs through 3 p.m.
