Thunder’s Perkins Knows Game 7’s, See’s Similarities In Adams

Thunder center Kendrick Perkins is considered one of the team’s leaders, especially during the playoffs, and the Texas native has the numbers to prove it.

Perkins has played in the NBA playoffs in eight different seasons, including spending seven straight years in the postseason.

Oklahoma City’s starting center has played in an impressive 122 playoff games, starting 116 of those.

The lone season Perk didn’t start in the playoffs was in his second season in the NBA with the Boston Celtics.

The former first round pick has picked up his fair share of wins in the postseason too, winning 71 games as of Friday, May 2.

Perkins also can be a leader for the Thunder as they prepare for game seven of their opening round series with the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday, May 3.

The four year starter for OKC has played in seven game sevens in his career, going 4-3 in those deciding playoff games.

Perkins also told reporters that he see’s some of himself in Thunder rookie center Steven Adams, and provided a comical answer to what qualities the two share and don’t share together.
