Photographer uses her abilities to help tornado victims

It is hard to snap perfect pictures of wiggling but adorable kids, but for Mellisa Ward, it is second nature.

Ward is a speech pathologist by day, but in her off time she takes care of others.

After the tornadoes last spring, Melissa knew she had to help.

Her friend Emilee Sampley tells us Melissa did a number of fundraisers for tornado victims and offered to take pictures free of charge for families who lost all of the things from their homes.

Ward said, "I feel like God gave me a talent and that's what I use it for, to serve."

She uses her abilities to refill the empty walls and tables where so many families' memories were once documented in photographs.

Her mission to serve is the reason Emilee Sampley nominated her for Pay It 4ward.

"We chose Missy because she is always wanting to do things for other people," said Sampley.
