Metro man learns tough lesson after being targeted by thieves

MOORE, Okla. – A man in Moore says he has learned a tough lesson after being targeted by thieves.

Dalton Yandell said, “We turned our backs yesterday for one second and got broken into.”

Everything was normal as Yandell headed to work at the Tractor Supply store in Moore.

He says he is usually guarded and even remembers locking his truck before going to work.

While he was making a living, thieves were stealing hundreds from two trucks at the store.

Yandell said, “We got in my truck and look there and my police radar was gone, my wallet was gone. They got in my book bag and they didn’t take anything from that.”

Yandell says he was able to find the alleged thieves on surveillance video.

He said, “I looked at the video, they were over here then two seconds, they parked. Got out of their truck, went into Tractor Supply and came out real quick and left.”

While Yandell was showing what criminals took from his vehicle, he found other remnants from last night’s crime.

An empty wallet was found in the parking lot, belonging to the other victim.

Unfortunately, nothing was inside.

Yandell says he has learned a tough lesson from the crime.

Yandell said, “Just take everything that’s expensive out of my truck and start taking it with me wherever I go. Don’t leave it in my car.”
