One dead after fatal semi truck collision

ATOKA COUNTY, Okla. – One is dead after two semi trucks collided on a state highway.

According to authorities, Alfonso Medina was headed east bound on state highway 3 when he drifted off into the north side of the roadway.

Mitchell Douglas Gee attempted to swerve out of Medina’s way when he was struck head on by the semi.

Officials say Gee jacked knifed and rolled over one and a half times before stopping.

Gee was pronounced dead at the scene in Atoka County.

Media was transported to the hospital and is listed in stable condition.
