Oklahoma schools offering free meals to children over summer break

School lunch program

OKLAHOMA CITY –  School officials said eight Putnam City schools are giving children free breakfasts and lunches in June.

According to the district, anyone 18 or younger is eligible for free meals at any district school hosting the program.

All you have to do to get the meal to go to a participating school at the listed times.

Children do not need to be enrolled at the school and you don’t need to apply.

The meals provided will be the same for all children regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, age or disability.

When and where to get the free meals:

Central Elementary School, 5721 N.W. 39th
Breakfast: 8 to 8:30 a.m.
Lunch: 11 a.m. to noon
Dates: Tuesday, June 3 – Friday, June 27 (No meals on Saturdays or Sundays)

Hilldale Elementary School, 4801 N.W. 16th
Breakfast: 8 to 8:30 a.m.
Lunch: 11 a.m. to noon
Dates: Tuesday, June 3 – Friday, June 27 (No meals on Saturdays or Sundays)

Rollingwood Elementary School, 6301 N. Ann Arbor
Breakfast: 8 to 8:30 a.m.
Lunch: 11:15 a.m. to noon
