The Oklahoma City Thunder will make their third appearance in the western conference finals in the last four years, when they tip-off with the San Antonio Spurs on Monday, May 19.
According to the Thunder players, that postseason experience should aid them on the road in San Antonio this series.
In their only other playoff meeting with the Spurs, Scott Brooks' squad lost the first two games in San Antonio before sweeping the next four games and advancing to the NBA Finals.
As for this season, the Thunder recorded the second most road wins in the NBA with 25 wins away from 'The Peake'.
OKC picked up two of those road victories in the Alamo City.
The Thunder actually swept the Spurs, 4-0, during the regular season and now have history on their side.
There have only been three other times in NBA history where two teams met in the conference finals after one team swept the other team during the regular season.
In each of those instances, the victorious team in the regular season advanced to the NBA Finals.
