Dry, hot conditions expected in central Okla. for the next few days

Temperatures will only get down into the 60s and 70s overnight with a breezy south wind.

Our ridge of high pressure will slowly break down as an upper level low tracks towards Oklahoma.

Dry and hot conditions are expected in central Oklahoma Wednesday and Thursday.

A few isolated storms are possible though up in the Panhandle and far northwestern Oklahoma.

Moisture will continue to stream back into the Sooner state late in the work week dropping back the temperatures a few degrees and making it feel muggy.

There will be a better chance for showers and thunderstorms as that low moves closer to the state.

Expect waves of showers and thunderstorms over the western half of Oklahoma Friday and Saturday.

More waves of rainfall will impact central Oklahoma Sunday and Monday.

Most of the rainfall will shift into eastern Oklahoma by Tuesday.

Although widespread severe weather is not expected, a few storms could be strong.

This storm system has the potential to dump some much-needed rainfall over areas that desperately need it.

Stay tuned as we follow the wet weather for Memorial Day weekend.
