EL PASO, Tx. – Vandals left a disturbing display in El Paso overnight.

Authorities say the message “Plato O Plomo” was painted on one billboard.

That translated to mean “pay or be shot.”

Another nearby billboard had a fake body being hanged by a noose.

The phrase “dying for drugs” was painted at that scene.

The owner of the billboards said this wasn’t part of an advertisement.

El Paso police say they are treating these as crime scenes, but don’t think these messages were left for a specific person.
