Woman arrested for allegedly sexually abusing young family member
BARTLESVILLE, Okla. – A Bartlesville woman is behind bars after allegedly sexually abusing a young family member.
Officials say they received a tip from the Moore Police Department involving a woman who had sexually abused a young child and emailed explicit pictures to a subject.
The photographs reportedly show numerous sex acts perpetrated upon a 3-to-4-year-old-boy.
Further investigation revealed the woman is related to the victim.
OSBI Internet Crimes Against Children agents served a search warrant on the woman’s home in Bartlesville Thursday night.
Authorities say they after they interviewed Sara Garoutte, 33, they arrested her at her home in Bartlesville.
Garoutte was booked into the Washington County jail on one count of distribution of child pornography, one count of manufacturing child pornography, one count of sexual abuse of a child under the age of 12 by parent, and one count of violation of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act.
Agents believe the abuse occurred on at least three occasions in Cleveland County at the request of the woman’s male companion.
The victim and another sibling are in protective custody.
