Authorities searching for alleged bank robber

LAWTON, Okla. – Officials are investigating a bank robbery in Lawton, Oklahoma.

Authorities say an unknown male robbed the Southwest Federal Credit Union Monday afternoon.

Surveillance video shows the suspect entering the credit union wearing a grey hoodie, dark ski mask, and dark sunglasses.

According to reports, the subject approached the teller counter where he threatened two tellers with a 40 caliber semi-automatic pistol and demanded money.

The subject held open a white Walmart shopping bag, while still holding the gun in his right hand.

Authorities say after collecting money from both tellers, the subject’s gun discharged, sending a round through the bag of money.

Neither teller was hit.

The subject left the bank with an disclosed amount of money.

Authorities say the subject is a male, race unknown, possibly young, 5’6″ – 5’7″, and 150-175 pounds.
