Update: OSBI gets closer look at alleged Choctaw armed robbery suspects

UPDATE: The OSBI says it was able to enhance the surveillance video enough to get a better look at the suspects.

One of the suspects has a tattoo or skin discoloration on the inside of his left leg, below the knee.

If you have any information on the crime, call Choctaw police.

CHOCTAW, Okla. – Choctaw Police are searching for two armed robbers. The men are said to have robbed a Choctaw grocery store at gunpoint Monday night.

Tuesday, Choctaw Police released surveillance video of the crime.

Choctaw Chief of Police Connie Clay said, “(They) forced the employees to the ground and also some of the customers who were shopping.”

The robbery happened at the Williams Grocery Store, along N.E. 23rd St.

Surveillance video shows a man entering the store and going straight to the safe.

Clay said, “You can clearly see one of them having a weapon, taking one of the employees into the office area and getting money from the safe.”

As the suspect gets money from the safe and register, another suspect, with what appears to be a gun in his pocket,  is seen guarding the way. Police say that man forced employees and customers to the ground.

Clay said, “They were wearing panty hose over their face and had on ball caps.”

Police say because of the panty hose they have had a hard time getting a clear description.

Nearby businesses were shocked by the news.

Bailie Lee, with Flavor Vapor of Choctaw, said, “It`s kind of nerve-wracking. That`s the third robbery in this plaza.”

Police say evidence leads them to believe the recent robberies are not connected. However, it’s enough to have everyone in the plaza on edge.

Lee said, “It’s kind of going to be nervous for us. We have a security system, but still.”

Police are hoping someone will recognize the men in the video and turn them in to police.

The suspects were seen leaving in a dark-colored, single cab pickup truck.

If you have any information you are asked to call Choctaw Police.
