OKLAHOMA CITY – A serial bank robber strikes again.
The suspect is accused of hitting three different banks over the last two months.
The thief struck again Tuesday morning at the RCB bank near May and Hefner.
In late April, at the Arvest bank on north Penn, a man wearing a fake black beard kicked off his one man crime spree by walking inside and robbing the bank.
Two weeks ago in late May at First Fidelity near May and Hefner the suspect struck a second time.
Once again the bandit could be seen sporting fake facial hair and flashing a handgun tucked in his waistband while holding a note demanding cash.
Investigators say the suspect hit the hat trick, robbing his third bank at the RCB using the same disguise.
“The suspect is described as a black male with a fake beard, a long fake beard,” said FBI special agent Matinus McConnell. “The witness described the suspect having a black semi-automatic pistol in his waist band. That could have gone badly really quickly.”
The good news, the suspect didn’t escape the RCB with any cash because he dropped the loot after wrestling with the security guard.
The suspect did manage to flee the scene and ran north into an adjacent apartment complex.
The FBI now hopes someone helps them catch the suspect before he strikes for a fourth time.
“These situations lead to suspects getting more and more aggressive in their attempts,” said McConnell. “There’s no amount of money that’s worth a human life.”
Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to contact police or the FBI.
There is a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest.
