Update: Former Edmond police officer found not guilty


UPDATE: After ten minutes of deliberations, former Edmond police officer Benjamin Northcutt was found not guilty.

EDMOND, Okla. – A former Edmond police officer is on trial for grand larceny.

Officials say Benjamin Northcutt is accused of stealing $8,000 from a police evidence locker back in 2011.

The money had been confiscated during a drug investigation.

Reports show some of the testimony has focused on surveillance camera images taken from the Edmond Police Department.

The defense is currently presenting their case.
