JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Car enthusiasts love to hear the “purr” of a finely-tuned engine but when they hear meowing under the hood, that’s a problem.

After jacking up the car, mechanic Rusty Newton said he found a kitten.

He was called in for the rescue after the car’s owner heard the purring.

Newton said lifting the car was the hard part, the rescue didn’t take long at all.

The story’s ending is a happy one with the kitten taking the name “Rusty,” after his hero, of course.
