It is summer, and that means you need to protect yourself from mosquitoes.

Exterminators say there are ways you can fight back, and that includes a new product that uses garlic to battle the pesky creatures.

Mosquitoes can bite your skin, suck your blood, and can also cause health problems.

Terminix is debuting a new weapon in the fight against mosquitoes.

Preston Warford said, “What we’ve seen with this product is that it’s proven to reduce mosquito populations, within two weeks, about 90 percent.”

Company officials are calling this mosquito fighter garlic bait, because the key ingredient is garlic.

Instead of repelling the insects, this mosquito fighter actually lures them in.

Exterminators say, once the insects are lured in, the mosquitoes ingest the product, and it kills them.

Terminex says, while this product is bad for mosquitoes, it is not bad for the environment.

Warford said, “It’s also natural. There’s no harmful chemicals or pesticides inside the product.”
