All clear: Crews say powdery substance found near OKC business not hazardous

UPDATE: Authorities say the white powdery substance was not hazardous.

Officials cleared the scene and allowed employees back into the building.

OKLAHOMA CITY – Police and emergency crews are investigating a white powdery substance near an Oklahoma City business.

Officers say they were called to the Hobby Lobby headquarters, near S.W. 44th St. and Council Rd. after someone reported an envelope filled with a white powdery substance.

At this time, the Oklahoma City Fire Department’s hazmat team is investigating the substance.

The business was evacuated during the investigation.
