OKLAHOMA CITY –  PGA Junior League is expanding in the greater Oklahoma City market.

The organization gives kids 13 and under the opportunity to learn and play golf in a fun, social and team environment.

The following are the facilities with teams in the greater Oklahoma City market:

  • Gaillardia Country Club
  • KickingBird Golf Club
  • River Oaks Golf Club
  • Lakeside Memorial Golf Course
  • Ball Golf Center
  • Coffee Creek Golf Club
  • Duncan Golf & Tennis Club
  • Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club
  • Twin Hills Golf & Country Club
  • The Trails Golf Club
  • Oak Tree Golf Academy

No prior playing experience is required to join a PGA Junior League Golf team.

The teams play 9-hole matches in a two-person scramble format.

The format of play reinforces the team aspect and limits the personal pressure that players often feel.

Teams play regular-season matches before entering city and regional championships.

Each regional champion advances to the PGA Junior League Golf Championship held Oct. 24-26 at TPC Sugarloaf in Duluth, Ga.
