OKLAHOMA CITY – An Oklahoma City man is facing several charges after police say he was attempting to convince a runaway juvenile to engage in prostitution.

Authorities arrested 29-year-old Kevin Alando Martin II after the alleged victim called her mother, who then called police.

According to the arrest affidavit, the victim’s mother says her daughter called her to say that her “pimp” had beat her up.

Police went to the River Chase Apartments and found the alleged victim, along with Martin.

According to the report, the victim told police that she had been staying with Martin, who was trying to convince her to become a prostitute.

When Martin allegedly asked the girl to go out of town with him, she says she became scared and called her mother.

Martin is charged with harboring a runaway, lewd and indecent acts or proposals with a child under 16, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and offering to transport a child for the purpose of prostitution.

Authorities say he also had a city warrant for failure to appear in jury court.
