USGS: 4.3-magnitude quake rocks Grant County

GRANT COUNTY, Okla. – Oklahoma residents were a bit startled after feeling their homes rattle Friday evening.

NewsChannel 4’s phones started ringing off the hook just after 6:10 p.m.

Callers reported feeling their homes shake for quite some time.

According to USGS a 4.3 quake rocked Grant County approximately eight miles NW of Pond Creek, Okla.

But that’s not all.

A smaller quake rattled Oklahomans earlier Friday.

LOGAN COUNTY, Okla. – Just before 10 a.m. the U.S. Geological Survey has confirmed a 3.5-magnitude quake rattled residents near Langston, Okla.

USGS recorded the quake to be about 4.9 miles N.E. of Langston.

The quake had a depth of about 3.9 miles.

So far, there have been no reports of damage.
