Chain ‘mashes’ things up, tests new ingredient atop burgers
Carl’s Junior is testing a new burger topping, mashed potatoes.
“Mashers” come with a scoop of garlic mashed potatoes and gravy, sitting atop a burger or chicken sandwich.
That’s according to USA Today, which reports “mashers” are being tested in Southern California, but could pop up at Carl’s Jr. and Hardee’s restaurants nationwide.
The paper reports the chicken masher has 900 calories and 47 grams of fat.
The burger version clock in with slightly less with 790 calories and 42 grams of fat.
