One transported to local hospital following 18 wheeler accident in S.W. OKC

OKLAHOMA CITY - On Saturday afternoon emergency crews responded to an injury accident in S.W. OKC.

According to Sgt. Laporte with Oklahoma City Police an 18 wheeler's trailer collided into a bridge at Meridian and Airport Rd just after 10 a.m.

Authorities say four different vehicles were involved.

One person has been transported to a nearby hospital with minor injuries, according to Oklahoma City fire officials.

The 18 wheeler was traveling for approximately 25 miles with the hydraulics off.

Oklahoma Department of Transportation is on scene inspecting the bridge.

Crews have shut down westbound lanes near the area.
