Police: Oklahoma man shot in the head, walks 11 blocks to contact authorities

OKLAHOMA CITY – A man is recovering from being shot in the head during a carjacking, and investigators are still looking for the shooter.

It happened around 9 a.m. Sunday morning in the 5600 block of NW 23rd Street in Oklahoma City.

The victim said while walking from his car to his apartment someone put a gun in his back.

He told police he ducked down, and the suspect shot the gun, which grazed him in the head.

The man said the suspect took off with his wallet, cell phone and car.

Police said the victim called them from a friends home on NW 34th Street.

Officers are still looking for the suspect.
