Local graphic designer charged with possessing child pornography
EDMOND, Okla. – A graphic designer for the Edmond Sun has been charged with multiple counts of possessing child pornography.
According to the Edmond Sun, five-year employee Jared Horton, 29, was arrested on two counts of aggravated child pornography and 10 counts of possession of child pornography.
A police affidavit says investigators found the child pornography on several computer flash drives that Horton had left at his sister’s house.
Karan Ediger says she terminated Horton’s employment once she became aware of the child pornography investigation.
Ediger said, “We were very surprised by the course of events and didn’t have any indication that something like this was happening.”
If convicted Horton faces up to life imprisonment for each aggravated possession count.
