PEORIA, Ariz. – A 16-year-old girl mysteriously died after consuming a Red Bull energy drink.
According to Guardian Liberty Voice, Lanna Hamann was on vacation in Mexico when she was rushed to the hospital after going into cardiac arrest.
Friends say Hamann had consumed several energy drinks the day she went into cardiac arrest.
Later that day she told friends she was not feeling well and was having difficulty breathing.
Although cause of death has not been determined, Hamann’s parents believe her death is connected to the Red Bull she had been drinking that day.
Jack Wolfson, a cardiologist, believes the likely cause of death was high levels of sugar and caffeine which is found in energy drinks.
