With each passing second, it seems as if Pau Gasol playing for the Thunder isn't such a reach.
ESPN is reporting Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant made an in person pitch to the Spaniard, in Los Angeles Monday, about coming to play for OKC. ESPN also reported that the Thunder became a frontrunner in the Gasol sweepstakes.
Gasol's asking price is somewhere between 9 and 12 million dollars per year. There's no word on what numbers were thrown around in the KD-Russ-Gasol meeting or if a dollar amount was even discussed.
Gasol made $19 million last season and is rumored to be taking a pay cut, no matter where the free agent ends up signing.
Meanwhile, former Thunder guard, and now free agent, Thabo Sefelosha visited the Washington Wizards on Monday. Yahoo first reported the visit.
The report also said that there was no offer on the table for the Swiss defender.
The Wizards just re-signed Center Marcin Gortat to a 5 year, $60 million dollar deal on Tuesday.
Memphis Grizzlies Forward Mike Miller continues to be pursued in free agency. He reportedly met with Kevin Durant Wednesday in Los Angeles as well. The two even posed together in a picture that Miller posted on his Instagram account.
However, Miller has said numerous times he hopes to remain with the Grizzlies.
The Thunder were rumored to be on the radar of Cleveland Cavaliers guard/forward CJ Miles, but he agreed to a 4 year deal with the Indiana Pacers worth $19 million on Wednesday.
