SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KSFY) – It’s something that happens all over the country but is rarely caught on camera.
A random act of kindness from one woman to another is going viral.
“I couldn’t believe it. I was just so surprised. I was like, ‘I don’t even know you,” said Katie Kanefke.
Kanefke went to Wal-Mart because she needed diapers for her son, Marcus.
She asked if the store would price match four boxes of Pamper’s but was told they could only price match one.
Kanefke decided to put the other boxes aside but that’s when Carol Flynn stepped in.
“It looks to me like you had four boxes of Pamper’s and you’re only buying one.’ So I said, ‘Do you have children?’ ‘Yes, I have a little boy who is 4-months-old and he uses a lot of diapers.’ And I said, ‘I think you need the other three boxes then,” Flynn told KSFY.
Flynn decided to purchase the other three boxes of diapers.
“I said, ‘Yeah, it’s okay. It’s alright.’ I said, ‘Someday, you’ll do this.’ And I said, ‘Paying it forward is kind of a neat thing to do and I’m sure sometime you’ll pay it forward to somebody else,” Flynn said.
Flynn said she had no idea other shoppers were recording her random act of kindness and never expected all the attention for her good deed.
